Megan Crist and Smarty
Megan Crist is a sophmore at Montana State Western and has a rodeo scholarship on the College rodeo team. She purchased PHC Smart Chex at the 2010 B Bar B Ranch Production Sale.

PHC Smart Chex, or Smarty as I like to call him, has been a great horse so far! He is a great addition to my corrals; he gets along with just about everyone. I've been running barrels on him this fall in college rodeo and he is coming along very well. Our first run in August was a 21 (standard pattern) and we are now down to a low 19 after just six or seven runs. I beleive he will be winning in no time!

     I have also started breakaway roping on him and he has picked that up very quickly. Following cattle is natural for him and he loves it! He is so calm and level headed and just a great joy to ride and be around. He was so easy to start on the barrels and roping, and I credit that fully to the training program at the B Bar B.

     A horse that is as broke as the B Bar B horses will do anything for you, from running barrels to loping bareback through the fields!

  BBarB Testimonials from the Eldridges
We have had the privilege of owning and training a lot of great horses.
Some of the best horses we’ve ridden and currently own are BBarB horses from Picabo, Idaho.

Here’s what we love about our BbarB horses:

Marie (PHC Sak N Chex) ridden by Candida Eldridge, age 11.
Marie is a very nice mare. I can walk up to her in the pasture, pet or catch her easily. She is super gentle and has a great personality. When I’m not riding her I let my Dad take her to the feedlot to ride, he says she is his favorite to ride out there. I am glad Katie picked her for me.

Picabo (PHC I’ll Get There) ridden by Jaylen Eldridge, age 7
Picabo is an all-around horse. I ride him in 5 events at the Jr. Rodeo but my favorite is roping, I can head and heel on Picabo. I also ride him at brandings. He is gentle and kind; my favorite BbarB horse.

Bubblegum (PHC Bubblegum) ridden and trained by Marlow Eldridge
Bubblegum is one of the best heel horses I have ever rode. He has great speed and super athletic. His stop is awesome; he can make things happen fast in the arena. Bubblegum is a great looking horse; I always got a lot of compliments about his looks. Bubblegum has gone on to be a fantastic head and heel horse.

Venom (PHC Good Time Chex) Venom, a 4 year old sister to Bubblegum, is also a super athlete and great looking. She is really broke and started on the barrels. She is so quick and catty – we are excited at the possibilities for her. Venom also has been out to the feedlot, she is real cowy and great to work cows on.

This photo was taken as "Boo" was coming over to greet my dad and I. Nearly all of our herd was in the same pasture as Picabo, and she didn't get sucked into the chaos that usually occurs when the prospect of oats enter the horses' minds. I was very proud!

Phoebe came to ride at the B Bar B Ranch as a very young and eager child. She showed "no fear" and had talent running thru her veins. Last year, she followed thru with her dream of owning a young B Bar B colt. I am very proud of all she has done and will continue to do.
